I think this book has great information and lovely pictures, all on glossy pages. The book is separated into sections of countries, Germany, Italy, Japan, USA and UK. It shows all the specifications, history of the car etc. on some of the best sports cars in the world. My favourites are the Porsche 911 GT1 and McLaren F1. I am writing a class talk on sports cars and the book is great help as I can get so much information to compare speed and horsepower. I recommend this to any sports car fan. Reviewed by Simon

Shopping for a new car or just browsing, this is a fun catalogue 15 Dec 2005

Hello,

If you're like me, it's hard to shop for a new car. It's a big purchase and you're going to have it a while. Another problem is when you are thinking of maybe buying something on the nice and performance oriented side, there are not a lot of those dealers around, so it's hard to see the cars you're considering. Then, just order this catalogue, and problem solved! It handily divides up the cars from country for those nationalist tendencies we have when car shopping, or going to war... Then it lists all the key specifications on each car with an written overview and history and pictures, often inside and out. For example the SLR AMG Mercedes is a beautiful car and $300,000, but the Lanborghini Diablo is also nice and a bargain $230,000. However, maybe I should "buy American" and get the Saleen S7 for $375,000? If the publication has a shortcoming, it doesn't tell you the reliability for each car, and I am sure you also think that would be pretty helpful in making a wise choice (maybe I'll just see if Consumer Reports has a listing for the Ferrari 360 Modena and the others). So, if you like window shopping for things you can't afford, good purchase, or if you just know that it won't be long until you win the lottery (because you've been practicing guessing lotto numbers), or that you're going to marry rich (because you've been hanging out in front of a country club looking single), or because you think they are going to pay the ransom for your hostages, this is definitely the catalogue for you! I hope you vote for my review and I promise to honk at you when I see you on the road and you to me! Then we'll know we each used the same info when shopping...just don't use my same lotto numbers or hostages...or my wife!
