Seems my orginal Samsung battery started giving up about a year and a day from new. Possibly partly my fault for leaving the mains lead in when not needed. Learnt my lesson now.
Wasnt prepared to pay for an original Samsung replacement at i think over £100 and possibly have it pack up again after a year or so.
Finally got around to replacing it and went with this 'Superb Choice' make. As I recall all the spec's matched with the original Samsung. Some other batteries out there can be slightly different such as higher amp or voltage ratings. Not sure if thats a good thing or not, so I thought best stick with one that was an exact match.
The other factor was the price, with so many replacement batteries out there looking very similar but with widely varying prices its very confusing. As this was unknown territory for me I went with this make as it was a good price and spec's matched exactly with the Samsung's.
Have been running it for sometime now on a daily basis. making sure to unplug the mains when not needed! Can say its working great. keeps a consistant charge and getting expected useage time to that of the Samsung did when new. I would therefore say its a good, reliable product and at a competitive price.
Finally, one nice touch that the Samsung battery didn't have was a button on the base that when pressed lights upto 5 green LED's indicating how much power is left. Can be useful if the laptop isn't on and want to see if the battery needs a charge or not.
Was happy with the sellers. Decent description, as batteries like this can be used on a wide number of laptops and that was one reason why i chose them. I recall the product was shipped from the US and delivered within a reasonable time. I'd be more than happy to purchase from them again.
