Format:Paperback
This is a short three act play designed for use as a teaching aid. If the author believes that most schools have the resources to actually attempt a staging of the play he must be an extremely optimistic character. However as something for kids to use there imaginations with there is a lot to work with here, as well as a good dicussion 'jumping up' section. As an introduction to Sherlork Holmes though it does leave a lot to be desired.

I had heard about William Gillette through a short story and had researched him. His life is amazing and he did almost as much to create the personna of Sherlock Holmes as was done by the creator. I had to get a copy of this play Gillette wrote in partnership with Doyle. A rousing good adventure and I would love to see this on the stage today.
