Installed battery and fitted externally - expecting it to register 12 C (according to an analogue one)- but after 5 hours still showing 20.5 C (but does vary occasionally +/- 0.2!). Little use in recording external temperatures! Have requested refund.

Firstly the battery cover cracked the second I undid it. There's no way you can over-do the torque on the screws to cause this as they're minute (you'll need jewellers screwdrivers) so the item must have been faulty in the first place.
It sticks to the window and tells the temperature so on that it's reasonable. Haven't compared it against anything else to can't comment on it's accuracy. However as one can assume it's linearly wrong it can still be used as a comparison from day to day.
My main gripe, and this isn't the fault of the device itself more the technology, is that the LCD has very poor contrast at anything below 0 degrees. You almost have your nose on the window to discern the temperature. I also wonder just how long the suckers are going to last in cold temperatures.

Battery Compartment has 2 tiny Phillips screws, which are virtually impossible to withdraw - eventually I used a special PC screwdriver; do not purchase unless you have similar.
Note: battery is separate, you have to fit it yourself.

A great little gadget I use on my conservatory doors, tells me how cold it gets also when I can open the doors to let in the free solar heat, so saves a bit on my heating

indoor/outdoor thermometer
Great little thermometer. I use it it my conservatory, attached to a window. I can look in from the door and see the temperature then decide if it is warm enough to sit in.

Good looking and accurate
Very easy to read with a big display, I've found it's best viewed slightly lower than head height.
