If you can carefully follow the instructional videos by "tnkgrl" on modding the acer aspire one,
you should have no trouble installing this upgrade. Following her videos, I installed this SSD and it worked beautifully the first time. (My original ssd had failed). I also installed more RAMAcer Aspire One (AOA150) 1GB Memory Ram Upgrade (A-Tech Brand). and replaced the wifi card with a dual band "n" card Intel 4965AGN_MM1 Wireless WiFi Link Mini PCIe Adapter, as long as it was disassembled. Reloaded with Ubuntu Linux i386 vers 9.10, and now my little netbook is as fast as any entry level notebook. Added a 32gb SD card Transcend 32 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS32GSDHC6, now I have 60gb of solid state storage, a lot more rugged than installing a 1.8 hard drive, and uses less battery. When I need more storage I plug in a 64gb flash drive. Best of all - I can travel light, compute fast, store a lot of data, and 12 hrs battery time with a 9 cell installed.Aspire One Battery 9-cell 7900mAh Netbook Battery Lasts up to 12:10 Hours Longer Than the 3 or 6 Cells Acer Aspire One Battery - Color: Black
