Amazon.co.uk Review

If you're a fan of 2-D fist-to-the-face beat-'em-up games, then you'll know the Street Fighter series has dominated arcades for years. While Super Street Fighter 2 X Revival's gameplay is modified for the GBA's controls, with a little patience it's possible to pull off a few of the more devastating and complicated combos. The GBA does a shockingly great job of reproducing the visuals and action of the arcade originals. And as no Street Fighter game would be complete without a multiplayer fisticuffs mode, pummelling your friends via the link cable (two carts are needed) should be a snap. --Mark Brooks

Product Description

Building on the superb 2-D graphics, fluid animation, and vibrant backdrops of its predecessor, Street Fighter Alpha 3 promises to take the handheld beat-'em-up series to new heights. Along with the array of classic special moves, combos, blocks, and counters, this installment boasts more than 30 playable characters (including mainstays Chun-Li and Guile), 12 fighting modes, three new fighters, three fighting styles for each player, and a head-to-head game mode via the Game Boy Advance link cable (two copies of the game are required).

Personally one of my most anticipated arrivals on this platform ssf2 x revival certainly moved to offer what i had come to expect from the series and more.
With all of the best characters on offer ranging from old faves such as Ryu, Chun li, Guile, Ken, Zangief, Dhalsim, Blanka and E.Honda to characters from later versions: Deejay, Cammy, Fei long and T.hawk and not forgetting those 4 evil bosses we all love to hate there is enough choice here for hours of entertainment.
The game itself has 5 modes:
Arcade - self explanatory.
Training - where you get chance to adjust to the sometimes difficult directional pad(especially if you have chubby fingers like me).
Vs. - again self explanatory get your mates to buy this game and go and kick seven shades of something not so nice out of each other.
Time attack- hard is all i can say but it also has some nice surprises and finally there is survival here all of the bonus levels are included such as destroying the car or breaking all the barrels and oh for all those who think they are hard enough it gives you the option to try and defeat 100 enemies on one measly bar of energy, could it get any better!!!!!.
This game even though is in my opinion excellent has a problem, nothing major but you may want to think about it, which is that since the GBA is only really as big as an old Snes or megadrive controller then manoeuvring is hard and can start to play havoc with the fingers and hands one way of getting round this is by buying the grips as this widens the position of the fingers and is much more comfortable.
At the end of the day all fans of the series will love this game which has been adapted well on the GBA, with Christmas fast approaching I am sure this game will contend with the other big names coming to a GBA near you soon. So get your mates round and get those thumbs tapping for many good nights in.

This classic fighting game still rocks after all these years. The GBA handles this better than my old pc used to. Treat yourself to 2 copies and play with your M8s. ;0))) Don't think twice, this is the grandaddy of all fighting games and Capcom are still knocking out clone variants trying to beat its success. Just buy it and be awestruck!

Fine, faithful, immersive remake.
You'll be forgiven for thinking this was just another attempt by Capcom to milk the Street Fighter II carcass by casually
plopping out another port of their genre-definer, but... Read more
