Use this cable with your SNES (PAL version) console for an RGB quality picture. It's not suitable for other Nintendo consoles even though the connector is the same type
What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?
If you have a snes and have a scart output with rgb on your tv (usually scart port number 1) then purchase this brilliant cable and your snes will have a brighter picture with proper colour settings and stereo sound.
I have had this rgb scart for months now and i havn't had any problems with it whatsoever so it is reliable (when i purchased this scart form consolegoods it was loose bagged and had no original packaging).
NOTE if you have a copy of super mario world 2 yoshis island it will not work properly with the rgb scart ,when i play my copy of this game the screen goes wavy at times when playing it (this is the only game i know of that doesn't work properly with the rgb scart).
About once every couple of years we dig the SNES out to play Secret of Mana. Since the last time we have replaced our old CRT TV with a new LCD model.
Although the new TV cable had scart sockets as well as HDMI, it wouldn't work with RGB only composite (which looked horrible on a 42" screen). I found some websites explaining how to fix the problem with a soldering iron but buying this cable seemed like an easier option.
Sure enough it works a treat and we can now play Secret of Mana again with a true RGB connection.
In case anyone is interested, I also tried this cable with a Startech Scart to HDMI converter and that works with RGB as well.
The only word of warning I would add is that, as I have found, not all SNES RGB scart cables are the same. The one I bought (through Amazon) was supplied by Mega Mix UK but I note they are now offering it from a different supplier. It might be worth checking with the seller that it will work with LCD TVs prior to buying.
