1.0 out of 5 stars Save yourself ,dont buy it, 11 Dec 2000
By A Customer
As the other reviewers have said i was eagerly awaiting a rugby league game of any kind to come out on the PC, and jumped at the opportunity to but it from anywhere. When I got the game it turned out to be a complete and utter dissapointment, and i wouldnt recommend buying the game to anyone. To a rugby leage fan the game is just frustrating and to a non-fan just playing it would put them off league completely. As a big fan of rugby L i was hoping the game could rival football management games such as championship manager 00-01, ... After waitng so long for the game i played 3 matches on it,uninstalled it, lent to a friend who gave it straight back. So RL fan or not dont but the game.

1.0 out of 5 stars absolute garbage!!!!!!!!!, 25 Oct 2003
By A Customer
This was a huge dissapointment for me being a huge RL fan, some of the features are ok eg:chance to have the best players playing for my team(huddersfield),but the match itself is absolute rubbish-scorelines of 46-10 at half-time,a full time score of 52-64-it just doesn't happen.didnt seem to matter who you had in your team the other team ALWAYS scored every time they had the ball.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Shame about the cricket scores, 4 Dec 2000
By A Customer
Being an avid rugby league fan I was delighted to finally see an attempt to simulate this sport. The early signs were good, with good intro's, accurate squad names, many training options and the promise of in match commentary from 'Eddie' and 'Stevo'. It all started to turn sour when I witnessed my team, Hull FC, play their first game against Castleford. Firstly, the commentary was very half hearted with constant stammerings and hastily pasted together phrases such as "GREAT PASS BY" long pause "the" another long pause "hooker". this soon became very annoying and silence was preferred. Secondly, the game itself did not even try to match reality. Hull FC stormed into a 30 - 0 lead, scoring every time they were in possesion of the ball. Then Castleford got the ball and promptly did the same. The end result was a highly unlikely 54 - 50 scoreline - this is not a basketball simulation. This lack of realism totally spoils the game and gives the impression that the game has not been thought out very well. All in all very disappointing after a promising start (I have not played this game a second time despite my craving for a Rugby League simulation of virtually any description). I would advise all Rugby League fans to stay away from this weak attempt at a game to avoid disappointment. Indeed, Audas Interactive wrote a much superiour Rugby League management game to this, unfortunately on the now prehistoric Amiga 600. As for a good P.C Rugby League game I live in hope(as always!).

A good management sim if you like rugby league. The in match display has no imagination, and I recommend that you switch off the commentary straight away or you'll be there for... Read more
