Format: Audio CD
If you are considering buying this, you probably own the first Super hits already, in which case you will be in for more enjoyment with this sequel. It says much for the quality of Tammy's music that the quality of these songs is just as high as those on the first volume, unless you put Stand by your man in a class of its own.
Apartment number nine (about a woman waiting for a man) was the song that gave Tammy her first (modest) country hit. Your good girl's gonna go bad (about a woman angry with her unfaithful man) was her first major country hit, though it didn't quite make number one. Brilliant though those two songs are, there are some songs here that I consider to be even better. Bedtime story and Kids say the darndest things both show Tammy's affection for children. Take me to your world and Till I can make it on my own are other classics. All four were country number one hits, as were most of the other songs here.
If you don't already own the first Super hits, note that you can find all of these tracks, eight from the first volume and two other brilliant songs on 20 greatest hits.

More Super Hits From Country's First Lady 23 Oct. 1998
By Joe Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
You can't go wrong with this CD! Tammy Wynette ... producer Billy Sherrill ... classic hits ... from the early-years recordings of 'Your Good Girls Gonna Go Bad' and 'Apt #9' to what has been called the last great song she wrote, 'Til I Can Make It On My Own', this CD musically demonstrates why Tammy Wynette was the phenominal success that she was. It also serves as a reminder of what will be no more. If your exposure to Tammy Wynette is limited to 'Stand By Your Man', all you need to do is listen to this CD of her other hits to fall completely under her spell. It's a magical, musical spell that will cling to your heart forever.
