I was skeptical when I saw this, but as my hamster Jasper was using his bed as a toilet as well as a place to sleep, I had to do something! I bought this, followed the instructions, and although I've not 'seen' him do his business in it, he definately is! After the first week there was 'clumps' in the potty!
The litter clumps, making it easy to clean the wee out of. The box says every 10 days, but I clean it every week, as Jasper tends to kick the litter about a bit.
The litter isn't expensive either, I think it cost me around £7 for three boxes on ebay, and I've still not finished the first box since the middle of May.

how fab ! so impressed - tried other "potty's" but i think my hamster took to this one because a) its hooded so he probably felt more secure and hidden and, b) i think the texture of the litter probably was more realistic to the natural environment a hamster would go to to wee !! . I put in a small amount of already wee'd on sawdust to give him a hint........and he's been using it ever since. So easy to tip into the bin, clean and replace, even my husband is impressed !! No stinky hamster smell in our house anymore !!

I haven't seen my syrain hamster George having so much fun, he uses it as a tube, bed and toilet doesn't take up to much space in his rotastak space command cage, but it still looks very spaceish inside the potty it's self, I highly recommend this item, it also arrived with me in 2 days

hamsters dont need pottys
my hamster didnt use it to pee in, 1 now sleeps in it every night!
