Glorious, true genius,

This is the best french album bar none. Etienne de Crecy is an amazing house producer who can do great chill-out and fantastic upbeat stuff as well. Give it time though. I found it to be the ultimate grower. I was unconvinced on first listen and felt that some of the tracks were too long and didn't really go anywhere. Three years later I still listen to it very often and rate it higher than almost anything. French house has a myriad of talented players at the moment and Daft Punk and Air get most of the attention. However, E de C is just as good, if not better than any other french artist. He creates great sounds that no-one else uses and it sounds classic and contemporary at the same time. If you get this and 'Tempovision' (and also any Motorbass stuff) you will be hooked and asking why he is so unknown. Maybe some day his time will come and he will be hailed as the master that he truly is. Until that day just keep listening to track 4: 'Soldissimo' - the best chill out tune ever produced. Etienne is God.

Find out where the inspiration for Moon Safari came from. Ambient genius from the French maestro.
