He's done it again, seriously, this dude makes you want to give up writing, he's so good.
This one-off is tagged as, 'the X Men meets Ocean's Eleven,' but for me, it owes as much to classic British heist movies like the Italian Job.
In common with much of Millar's work, it's concept is brilliantly simple and blindingly obvious - if you're a supervillain, don't operate in countries that are full of your enemies, the superheroes, go somewhere where there are none - like Spain.
With a main villain unashamedly based on Michael Gambon, and the usual intriguing range of quirky Millaresque characters (some of whom are admittedly padding) this is an absolute classic.
Recommend it without reservation.
And you will never get a better dark laugh than when a pair of regenerating wrestlers make reference to a move called, 'the Full McCartney.' One of the characters asks, 'Is this actually happening' and you will wonder the same....;)
