Linn did a good job here. Perfect sound, great 5.1 mix which souds very natural, not too much coming from the rears and good music too.

This Sampler was not what I expected. Tracks 1 - 6 are by singers that are only on the Linn Records catalogue Tracks 7 - 16 are Classical. I found myself flicking from track to track, as I was not gripped into finding a surround sound gem of a track that sounded any different to a normal recording. I thought that a 5.1 SACD was going to change music as heard on a normal Stereo system. Don`t get me wrong as this Linn sample is Clear and recorded DDD at it`s best but the tracks chosen on this disc have let it down.
The Singers Tracks 1-6 are: Claire Martin, Judith Owen, Barb Jungr, Carol Kidd, Claire Martin and Ian Shaw.
The Classic tracks 7 - 16 are from Composers: Liszt, Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakov, Gurney, Handel, Hahn, MacMillan, Poulenc, Vivaldi and De Murcia.
Do try and enjoy this sampler as the price is low and was recored in 2007. Total playing time 57.04

Nice SACD with different styles of music.
Great listening pleasure and discovering the world of SACD.
Recording is very good!
