this, together with the other two in the series, is one of the best books I've ever read. if your favourite authors are eoin colfer, jk rowling, brian jacques and stuff like that, you're gonna love this. dont read it after silverwing, though

My son read this book and Silverwing,he read them both in 2 weeks. He says they were very exciting better than watching TV and Videos. How about more tales make it a trilogy

I am not usually into these type of books but this one was amazing. I really wondered if Shade would be okay and the action was huge! I like how Kenneth Oppel combined love,life, and action all into one neat package. This is definetly a best buy for those who love sitting on the edge and reading and really caring about the characters. Plus, he also describes everything so well and you can actually SEE everything! absolutly amazing. I was so sad when it ended
