So I bought a number of CREE LED flashlights for my parents farm. Long range Thrunite TN32 (also amazing...), Olight M3X and a few smaller ones including the Olight S20. These are all great. All of those are more speciality lights. But the Sunwayman T45 is the one my father always goes back to and it is my favourite.
Why? Well the build is incredibly compact and very cool. Perfect balance of solid aluminium and weight. It is a 2 18650 design so it really keeps the juice and is short to perfectly fit in the palm of the hand and in the pocket. The beam is perfect balance of throw and splill, reaching out a good 150 meters...
In a nutshell this is the light you always have and use, the other lights are amazing but you need to "think" about using them... this sunwayman you just have on you.
Ahh one very good feature for a multi-battery is that there is no battery carrier in the light you just have two slots for the batteries that drop into the light, simpler and clean. For those of you that don't know CREE flashlights and only know the normal Maglight slyle lights...this thing is like comparing a tricycle to Harley Davidson.
Now I know you have a lot of choices in terms of CREE lights... and avoid the cheap stuff, you will be disappointed after a few uses, but money wise at £35, well this T45 is the absolute best value. I love it and am getting a second one for mom.
