From the Author

film optioned, thanks to readers, beware of reviews
Sunstroke has been optioned for a feature film for some time now, but with the recent plethora of Brit gangster flicks I think it unlikely to happen (at present). Many many thanks to all of you who have bought and enjoyed this, my first novel. Yes, its stuffed full of characters (perhaps too many) and my intent to describe the bizarre combination of 'worlds' in Andalucia was submerged in violence but, hey - it's a fun-packed read. In later books I have endeavoured to focus more on character and less on set pieces. I hope you'll stick with me. One final note - beware of these reviews. They are sometimes more about the contributor than the book. MB --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
