After breaking yet another unwieldy parasol (our 6th in 4 years) I ordered a canopy. I wish I'd realised these were available before, we would have saved money and spared ourselves hours of frustration. The canopy goes over the hood of the buggy, in our case doubling the shade. The sides are also shaded, with gaps between the buggy and canopy so the little un gets a nice breeze. The canopy doesn't obscure the babys view, so he doesn't often try to wrench it off (he'd have a job, it's tied and velcrod on). This particular canopy has a sun protection factor of 50, so the baby is well protected too. We're very pleased this canopy!

I got this to extend our current buggy shade and it is good. It has so many strings though that I only used four. otherwise my whole buggy handdle would be full of knots. It would be perfect if you could pull it back when not needed as now it's there all the time or then you have to take it off completely. But it's doing it's job.

I found this shade very good once I managed to work out a way to put it on the pushchair!
It didnt come with any instructions so I had to refer to the photo on the front of the packaging to get an idea how to put it on, once I had it worked out however, it was easy to put on and off from then on and did it's job well.
However, I used it for 10 days on holiday and by the end small holes were starting to appear where the straps joined to the fabric so I am unsure how long the life of this product would be.

Does what it says on the tin
A great product. Yes, there are 6 straps- but all needed and only take a second to tie. 2 of them are Velcro fastened. If you untie the front two- you can pull the buggy hood back. Read more
