I'd managed to hear the single "Air Of Mystery" and B-Side "I Love To Love" before however hearing them together with the quality of previously unreleased tracks "Kettle Of Fish" and "Dance" you just have to wonder why Dinger never got the commercial success they deserved for such immediately listenable and beautifully constructed songs. To be fair the only song that suffers on this EP is (oddly as it is my previous favourite) "I Love To Love" which sounds as though it hasn't been remastered from the same tapes as the other tracks and it has a bit of fuzz on it.
Definitely worth the money, I'd highly recommend this EP, Andy Bell's vocals carry a nice hint of Siouxsie and the Banshees with them and it's a nice change from his choir style Erasure style. It's a shame Dinger never made it big but then again if they had perhaps Andy Bell would not have met a certain Vince Clarke and formed one of the greatest pairings in British music.
