This is a most welcome addition to the sudden new interest in a composer who died several years ago. Generally, you can't go wrong by ordering Henry Mancini albums, and now that the original film scores are often being released (as opposed to re-recordings of commercial arrangements) fans may at long last be satisfied.
If you like this, look for the soundtrack versions of 'Hatari', 'Santa Claus' and 'Charade', which are lovely to own alongside the commercial versions. My favourite of all Mancini soundtracks is overdue for re-release, and hopefully someone will acquire the right soon to rectify this: "Who Is Killing The Great Chefs of Europe" (a.k.a. "Too Many Chefs"). If you are the owner of a firm who specializes in re-releases, or first-time releases of rare items or soundtracks, you should jump at the chance to release this title as soon as possible. Collectors everywhere have been waiting for this for years.
