I loved this book. I'm not a zombie fan but the combination of romance, adventure and mystery had me turning the pages. There wasn't a single moment boring moment as you are taken into Mara's world. One half seems chaotic, messy and dreary. Then the miracle drug appears, and her life changes.

Be warned that the ending leaves you hanging and you'll be rushing off to get the rest of the books in the series. If you are not into serial fiction, you may reconsider purchasing this book. This is the second book I am reading by Shannon, and I have to say kudos. Her writing skills are able to reach out to her audience (to me, anyways) and I congratulate her on her work.

Now, I'm off to read the rest of the books in this series.

Well written and full of suspense. Read it one go, I know it's short.

Will definitely be buying the rest of the series to find out what happens next.....

Keeping in mind that this is Ms. Mayers' first release, I'd decided not to be too critical. But that decision wasn't at all necessary. This book is very well written and a great read. In fact I hope she keeps her promise to release the second in the series this month because I've made a wish list for any of her work in order to get it as soon as it comes out.
The characters were well developed and believable. The conficts started right from the first page. And by building the tension, slow at first and then to the point where I hated to put the book down, she hooked me and kept me anchored. I don't want to give away the story, but believe me, there is an ending that will leave you wanting MORE!!!
