Format:Audio CD
Fuel are one of those bands that tread water. The water in which they tread is standard hard rock/grungey song crafting.
The music itself is powerful, especially the title track and it's lyrics ("Til my eyes dry out/til my head is free from doubt/til my lungs dry right out/til I'm wide eyed") give a fair indiction to the records angsty themes.
Kids that are down and out will find solace in this record...though they should be putting 'In Utero' or 'Vs' in their CD players instead of this.
The vocalist has just left the band (as of 27th Jan '06) this man has talent and now he should, dare I say it, move on to better things.
Fuel called their most recent album (more of the same by the way) 'Natural Selection', perhaps its time they evolve or they themselves will fall victim to their album title

I love this album. This is exactly what I want from an album - all the songs are great with the occasional outstanding one (like Shimmer). Shimmer is different from the rest of the album but it all works together so well. I bought there next album too (Something Like Human), also very good. This is a great album if you like Metal-Rock.

As always, a great produce the best album of their career FIRST. This album, from begining, gives you an insight into some insightful lyrics, some outstanding guitar work, guitarist Carl Bell, somehow manages to make Jazz and Blues chords sounds so great in more metal rooted power chords, perhaps one of the best guitarists/songwriters you have never heard of! Musically this album is impecable.
From start to finish, this album delivers some amazing songs, highlights beings tracks such as the melodic "Shimmer" or the amazing string work on "Sunburn" and the powerful vocals of "Bittersweet". Too hard to mention particular highlights,, because the whole album was a highlight for me.
If you are a songwriter or a musician or even if your musically open minded and inspired by bands such as 3 Doors Down, Course Of Nature, Greenwheel, Our Lady Peace or the Goo Goo Dolls, this album comes so highly recommended, that you should stop reading, and start clicking on the "add to basket" button, and prepare yourself for the greatness which is fuel. Enjoy!

Best album ever
I think this album is the best! I really recommend this to anyone! If you've heard one song and like it then buy it! You won't be disappointed!

Superb!
This album is excellent. Anyone who enjoys modern rock should love this. Much in the vein of Collective Soul, the music ranges from melodic to metal, just buy it!
