Product Description

Review

This mystery story set in a quasi-medieval fantasy world was written and drawn by Morag Lewis, one of the best established members of the Sweatdrop Studios collective - the old dean of Britain's manga-influenced small press community. Sun Fish, Moon Fish has been running since 2009 and has now been collected in a single volume. The book is a smooth, breezy read. The storyline unfolds gently and fluidly as we follow the two protagonists on their travels around the islands. Morag Lewis has constructed a detailed secondary world, with a family tree and timeline provided as appendices, but discussions about genealogies that crop up in the story are never overwhelming. Lewis has successfully woven an engaging story of courtly intrigue, with some supernatural touches on the side. On the whole Sun Fish, Moon Fish is a modest, unassuming and thoroughly enjoyable affair. What at first seems like a standard fantasy runaround unfolds into an engaging story told with confidence and care. --Neil, for Anime Picks

Superbly presented and full of interesting and 'jump off the page' characters, this book will get any teenager to start reading. --The Wishing Shelf Awards
