Not the easiest product to use, 11 July 2011
This review is from: Logo Design Studio (PC) (CD-ROM)
Installation of the software is a little time consuming, but I guess that's not unexpected given that it comes with a whole heap of graphics. The only thing is that the software, once loaded, is not the easiest to use. For example, those of you who are used to using Microsoft Word-type layout, you would expect to find simple formatting (e.g. bold, italicise, underline) to be at the top of the screen. However, it isn't. It is in the right hand menu bar, which is collapsed. So it takes an age to find the tools that you are looking for. This task would be a little if the symbols for the formatting had an explanation when you keep the mouse pointer on the relevant symbol. To make matters worse, at the time of writing this review (11 July 2011), the weblink for tutorials (contained in the help menu within the software) points the web browser to a website telling you that the domain name is for sale! That said, I have produced one logo that I am really happy with and another logo that is okay. So all-in-all, one cannot complain when considering the price. I have produced a logo that looks professional and so it's done its job. However, I am sure there is better software out there. Download a trial version from the internet before purchasing.

Obviously Stacked Favorable Reviews, 12 April 2006
By J. Weber - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Logo Design Studio (PC) (CD-ROM)
When a product mysteriously has 6 reviews all from April 5 and 6, all written in the same style, with the same exclamation points everywhere, the usual marketing superlatives like "fantastic", "amazing", etc., the entire rating system becomes corrupted for legitimate users and legitimate reviews. Marketing people will need to learn to let actual USERS review products.

What is this supposed to be?, 1 April 2005

The images (templates) in this program are terrible. Some don't render correctly when I open them. Some are only partially there. The program overall, however, has potential. Not a bad interface, (but on my 800x600 monitor settings, I can't get it to work properly). - but an interface does not make a product. They claim 200 templates, but I can get these kind of "templates" from any clip art library. A bit disapointed with this product.

Garbage Software, 13 Dec 2006
By StuckwithJunk - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Logo Design Studio (PC) (CD-ROM)
One of the absolute worst software graphic packages I have ever used. Glaring typos on the interfaces, buggy, screen freezes, cannot make gifs, when you close then open a project your graphics show up mis-aligned, it double-saves (i.e. one copy and then a sub folder with another copy??). If you are trying to use transparent backgrounds you are in for more surprises... For instance, the transparency background will appear white after closing and opening and you will have to start again. Cut and paste does not work, updates do practically nothing, etc. etc. etc. I would love to sell this back to the company and also charge them for all my wasted time. Go to GIMP or find some other product. Knowing what I know now after using it I would NEVER have bought Logo Design Studio. Totally lousy product.
