Bayleigh thinks the summer will be torture without social media...that is until she meets the boy next door.

3.0 out of 5 stars An okay read. 4 Oct. 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a novella it was well paced, flowed nicely and I liked the overall writing style, but don't be fooled by the homely looking couple on the front cover; the protagonist swears too much - it doesn't make her cool - and is far from homely, although we're lead to believe she suddenly becomes Suzie-homemaker halfway through as she 'bonds' with granny.

I loved the concept but to be honest Bayleigh really annoyed me. When her electronic devices are taken away from her, and she's sent to stay with the grandparents in the country, it's basically the end of her world and she refuses to appreciate that there may be any positives to not having them....even small things, such as appreciating her surroundings (she complains that she would normally walk along looking at her phone) or being on a fairground ride with the guy she likes (she complains that she can't post the moment online). I wanted to throttle her! It irritated me how long we had to wait to find out Jace's story, too.
I haven't quite been persuaded to read the next one.

The book was great....typical love story.Where a bad and good guy is involved who fight for a girl and the girl has to decide.I think the author could have made it more suspenseful and I interesting if there were difficulties when they fell in love .

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice read 2 Nov. 2014

It's a dead on book, way too short though. The story definitely could have been more developed; I would have liked to have found out more about Bayleigh and Ian's back story- their history together and what that relationship was like. Bayleigh and Jace's relationship developed very fast, but if it's developed more in the next 3 books then that should make up for it. But overall it is a cute read with a sweet story line(why can't real life boys be like Jace?!) I read the book within a few hours' and ill definitely be reading the next ones.

I gave this book 5 stars there is a little bit of swearing in it but who doesn't swear? And I loved the character jace why couldn't all guys be like him I think I would recommend this book for girl teenagers tomboy of a girlie girl. I am defiantly reading the next one autumn unplugged the only a thing about this book is that it was short I read it in an hour and 15 mins but other than that I really enjoyed this book

5.0 out of 5 stars Best read ever! 7 Jun. 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As I leap into the stages of reading romantic books for teenagers, this is one of my first books. It I a great book that makes me feel all tingly and happy for Jace and Bailiegh. It feels like a real story because it can be like this at school! Thank you for this book Amy Sparking! I can't wait to read more books written by you!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected and Foreseen 27 Jun. 2015
    By Freya
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you are looking for an easy read, then this is for you. With not many mysteries, the surprises are expected and foreseen. Throughout the book, you expect a larger climax; however, it never really reaches that peek.
The characters' personality's are quite good but they don't particularly go with the run-down story line.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice short read for me 12 Jan. 2015

A nice short read for me. Read in under a day. Kept me hooked and had a great concept of how fun can be had without the modern technology we rely on so much nowadays. Good romance story perfect for Young Adults. Great especially as it was free but predictable in parts.
