I have read all Ann Cliffs books bar the latest offering which I understand takes us away from her Yorkshire roots all the way to darkest Australia! Quite a journey but one that will not disappoint I'm sure. My first Cliff book was Moorland Lass, which impressed with its combination of well researched historical detail, and a good basic storytelling. As a consequence I found this and subsequent books compelling reading. I loved Cliffs Summer by the sea, with tales of smugglers and boats. I always feel as though I'm learning as well as enjoying when I read Cliffs books and recommend you give them a go.
