What a delight this film is! It's beautifully shot and scored and has several splendid performances. Sloan Wilson's "pot-boiler", on which this was based, was a popular best-seller but no literary masterpiece, and the film is no great "work of art" either. However, as an evocative reminder of a long-lost age of romantic cinema, it could not be bettered. Despite the lyrics of the Rocky Horror Show - it really does demonstrate why Troy Donahue was a movie star! Get your popcorn and relax into two hours of magic.

I looked for this DVD for years and years and finally found it on Amazon.This is a magic film, thoroughly enjoyable. Absolutely magic. Well worth purchasing.

I ordered some DVD's to view during the Christmas holidays. This particular one was the last to arrive. However, it arrived within the time frame promised. Imagine my frustration when I found that the last ten minutes of the film were missing. I haven't bothered to contact the seller, as it took so long for them to send the item in the first place, I really haven't got the time or the inclination to wait around for their reply... Sending out shoddy goods is unacceptable and I hope Amazon will take note. I will not have any dealing with this particular seller again!
