My partner has used this pillow pretty much from the start of her second trimester, when sleeping became more uncomfortable for her. We'd previously tried propping various body parts up with pillows, which does work, but which is actually quite fiddly and not very practical. We did a bit of research, found this pillow and took the plunge.
Price: In my mind this product is expensive for what is basically a tubular pillow but the price is about par for the course when compared to similar products.
Delivery: Prompt with no problems.
Quality: Appears to be well made with decent quality materials used, although the zip is a bit clunky. Only one cover is supplied but that's no biggie as the cover is easily removed for washing and it dries pretty well so it can be washed and reused on the same day. Only time will tell how robust the pillow is but after four months of continued use it's holding up well. Please note that the pillow looks pretty big on the pic but in real life (compared to my normally proportioned 5 foot 7 size 12 partner) it's a bit smaller.
Usage: It took a couple of nights to work out the best way to use the pillow, but the design of the pillow is flexible so it's just a case of finding what suits you, after that it's no trouble at all. We also particularly liked the fact the pillow can be used by Junior when he's born. The pillow is quite easy to transport around, when it's in the supplied bag. We've not had any problems taking it to parents houses, etc.
Effect: This pillow has not cured all my partner's sleeping problems and personally I would be wary by default of any reviews that go along the line of "OMG this is the best pillow ever!!!"... but I would say that this pillow has made a real difference. My partner is more comfortable and does sleep better for it, with minimum fuss. However, it does actually take up quite a lot of the bed so dad will have to get used to sleeping in a smaller area for a while.
In short, I would recommend this pillow to any expectant mothers, just don't expect it (or any other maternity pillow) to set the world alight.
