The Tiny Diner helps to protect baby from germs and contains the mess that weaning creates. The portable placemat helps to provide a barrier between the germs that rest on the top of tables and the food that your baby eats. Children can eat directly off the mat, so no worries about plates ending up on the floor. The built-in scoop that lays directly under your child’s mouth helps spills to land in there instead of on your child’s lap or on the floor. The mat does provide a clean surface for when my son is eating out and about, however the suction cups are not very strong so the edges don't stay stuck on the surface and are no use for things like picnic benches. It would have been better if the rubber was heavier to help it stay flat - it is very flexible but if its kept rolled up the edges curl a bit. Really good idea but think it needs some modification to make it more practical. I'm not sure I'd recommend it as I've not been able to use it very often and I'm not sure how often I'll be able to use in future but it was a reasonable price so perhaps I can't expect too much from it!

I've been doing a mix of baby feeding & baby led weaning. I found my daughter was making so much mess at the table I was washing clothes daily. This has really helped as her highchair has no tray and so she eats at the table. It catches all the food as it travels with little hands and also easy clean. Yes it does stain a bit but so what when we have visitors I just take it off. It also stops her sucking the table which she loved to do before. I would recommend it only downfall is our table is oblong so it doesn't fit the edge perfectly.

I had one of these for my daughter when she was little - it was GREAT. We ate out fairly often (asda coffee shop on a shopping trip lol) and instead of having to clean their trays or try to keep a bowl on the high chair, we just rolled out this mat and hey presto a clean hygenic surface for her to eat from! When finished it just stuffed into my bag.
Now we have a new baby, I shall be getting one for him as soon as we move onto solids.

A must have accessory!
Brilliant! My only criticism is that it discoloured quite quickly but that aside it is a brilliant creation. Rolls up easily and can be stored in the changing bag. Read more
