Being a neurotic first time mum I wanted a thermometer that was quick and easy to use - so far have only used the 're-useable' one (you get a re-useable one and a 'one use only' strip) it read my baby's tempreature quickly even though she was wriggling and screaming!

Personally I find these a bit fiddly. Hard to use on a wriggly infant so probably better for use with older children. The temperature given is an indication rather than anything precise so depends on what you are after.
