Product Description

Product Description

The materials found in this mini-book are adapted from chapter two of Pad’s book 'Team Me'.

To answer a few recent critics: This edition has always been advertised as a MINI-book, a short SUMMARY only. (Which is why it’s being sold at the lowest possible price that Amazon will allow.)

It has been designed as a quick reference guide for those who need a reminder of the key traits of each of the six Team Me Archetypes – which are universal in nature and thus recognised by people of every race, religion and geography, throughout time.
If you understand what is condensed into these few pages, you will have the power to access whatever archetypal traits you require to tackle any situation in life more effectively.

Those who have attended Pad’s live workshops or his online study courses will want to use this summary when they need to clarify which archetypes they are needing to identify in any given situation.

The archetypes explored are *not* strictly Jungian, yet it is important to acknowledge the great work that Carl Jung did a hundred years ago to elevate the importance of archetypes in the human psyche.

The archetype summaries relate to:
- The Sovereign
- The Warrior
- The Sage
- The Mystic
- The Lover
- The Jester

There is also an order and balance to the six archetypes chosen as they act as companions and opposites to each other.

Everyone also has the potential to exhibit every one of these Archetypes, though in reality we naturally express some more than others.

Understanding these archetypes will help us gain a much greater degree of self-awareness and help us identify and address the issues that have been holding us back in life.

Crucially, this mini-book lists SHADOW character traits that relate to each of the six archetypes – and divides the shadow state into two: the Overheated state and the Frozen state. This understanding is vital when it comes to diagnosing a client’s situation in terms of archetypal dynamics.

Brian Tracy, author of over 55 books said this of Team Me:
"This is a wonderful book that shows you how to unlock your full potential for success and achievement."

4.0 out of 5 stars More of a paper than a book but... 12 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've bought several short pamphlets in this genre in order to get bite-sized explanations of various teachings for my studies. Most of them have been excellent...this however is merely a short paper on the six archetypes which isn't so much 'written' as copy and pasted. It is of course an advert for the 'author' but in reality does little to attract much attention to him as it is such a noticeable gimmick with such little content that I doubt any of his work in wider context is much more than a recounting and application of various vague methods and theories. We never meet the authority here which is not true of other short pamphlets available here for a similar price.

If you are thinking of buying I suggest you instead:

- Do a Google search for the six archetypes
- Do a Google search search on PAD and his work
- Be content with the above and put £0.77p In a charity box

1.0 out of 5 stars At last! Content-free reading.... 7 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Beware, this is a wafer thin offering and feels like paying to be marketed to. Amazon recommended it to me as I recently read an introduction to Jung. Perhaps I was expecting too much... Like actual CONTENT. What the other reviewers are reviewing is a mystery.

Its discussion of six archetypes follows this pattern. We'll take 'Jester' as a typical example. You get two sentences of description of the archetype, then another two sentences describing how that archetype functions when overemphasised (The Idiot) and one sentence describing how it is when underemphasised (The Depressive).

It is bulked out with a very brief introduction, testimonials about Pad's course, a 'Who is Pad?' page, an author photo plus a helpful links to... Amazon.

In fairness Pad's course may well be amazing. But not on this evidence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insight to Summary of Six Archetypes 9 Aug 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I thought this book was really insightful for the fact that it gives knowledge and insight into howone might be percieved in the Social as well as the professional realm. Having knowledge of ones character traits can better enable them to reach new plateaus and heights, This overview of the Summary of Six Archetypes did just that for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars It Is What It Is! 23 Jun 2014

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Short & Too Short description of Jungs Archetype favourites.
Seems quite metaphysical. I know they can be analysed and/or p perceived as qualitative personas or characters but not convinced.
All said and done love Jungs stuff; Analytical Psychology, love reading his blurb but not convinced: This school/science/philosophy etc needed a lot more development and Deeper more specific endeavour, this was done by Freud & Kings forebearers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bit thin 8 May 2014
By Eight
Format:Kindle Edition
Could have given this for free. Essentially a very thin 'booklet' which is interesting as reference but could be more useful with a few techniques and exercises.

5.0 out of 5 stars Summary of the Six Archetypes 23 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Beautifully excellent work. You don't have to have Phd to understand it, yet very useful food for thought if you are about to change something in you. Think of it as a mirror to reflect on you (positive&negative). Thus, as author mentions it,a problem well defined is already half solved.
In some ways British answer to R. Cialdini.
