5.0 out of 5 stars Very cute & clever, easy to use 7 Oct 2012

I had an Amazon Gift Certificate, and have always wanted a button maker. Most button makers are quite pricey, this one was inexpensive & simple enough to justify trying it out.

The fabric designs included are adorable! When you run out, you can easily make buttons with ANY thin fabric. I like to use Spoonflower to design my own custom fabric, or buy some thrifty vintage fabric. The possibilities are endless!

I'm glad I purchased this on Amazon, as I've seen this exact Sukie Button Factory kit in retail stores in Toronto, selling for almost twice as much! The button maker is so easy to use, and the buttons it produces are adorable. I made a button for my boyfriend, and he even put it on his bag. :)

3.0 out of 5 stars returning due to size 22 April 2013
By K. Althaus - Published on Amazon.com

I am returning this product because no where in the description does it say what size these buttons are. I needed them for a certain project but they were too small for it. They are small buttons about maybe an inch. So I am not sure about the quality of the product because I didnt use it. I just wanted to let others know if you are looking for small buttons then this would probably suit you. but if you want larger buttons then it wouldn't

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap materials and requires brute force 16 Dec 2013
By Jen B. - Published on Amazon.com
I destroyed 4 buttons trying to put these things together. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but the backs of the pins would not align with the plastic "pusher" so I hurt myself trying to get them together. Cheap and definitely not worth the price.
3.0 out of 5 stars lovely designs, quality could be better 26 Jun 2014

First, I actually thought these would be buttons to be sewn onto clothes but these turned out to be pins. The fabric is really sheer and not sturdy at all (fades and frays easily). the base needs to be painted white, otherwise the metal will shine through the fabric. most of the designs are lovely, to my taste. in ny case, we have enjoyed making them with my 3 y.o. as gifts to her friends.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, easy project 26 Dec 2013

This kit is great for anyone who loves interesting pins or has interesting fabric remnants. It takes some practice to set the pins in the mold correctly, but it's not very difficult at all. The directions are clear and simple. Can't wait to try out some of my own fabric!

A suggestion: use a hammer and GENTLY tap the back into place, using the plastic pusher as a buffer between the back & the hammer. This secures the two pieces together a lot better than just trying to apply pressure.
