Product Description

Product Description

Bergamot flavoured black tea. This is identified through the Triple certification (Fairtrade, Organic and Rainforest Alliance).

Suki Tea was first set up in 2005 by business partners Annie and Oscar in their quest for the perfect cuppa. After both having spent time travelling in Asia they returned to Northern Ireland inspired with a vision to provide a high quality loose leaf tea delivered with a ceremonial experience. Belfast’s Boutique Blender started on a farmers market and has a healthy demand worldwide.

Wishing to provide their customers with the freshest of fine, quality loose leaf tea, herbal infusions and fruit blends from around the world; the pair made ethical sourcing their priority whilst delivering a quality and fresh product. The company’s efforts in ethical sourcing were highlighted in 2012 when they introduced the UK’s first Triple Certified Teas (Fairtrade, Organic and Rainforest Alliance Certified) in their blends of Earl Grey Blue Flower, Darjeeling Bannockburn, and Green Luponde.

Still hand-packing tea with a close knit team of 11, they are winners of over 26 Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Stars and multiple industry awards ... Suki Tea truly is ‘Tea as it Should Be’.

Ingredients

Organic, Rainforest Alliance certified Tanzanian black tea (97.8%). Organic centaurea cyanus flower petals (1.5%). Organic Bergamot flavouring (0.7%).

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened to the wonderful aroma ... 29 Oct 2013

I had this tea at "Valerie Patisserie" and really liked it very much, fragrant etc etc. When I bought this from amazon, it really tasted bland. No fragrance whatsoever. Not worth it for that price.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not at all like the tea we had. 2 Dec 2013

I would just like to say like the previous review that we too had the tea when we were away on holiday. I asked for the name and was told and shown the packaging so of course I ordered it and it 1st didn't smell of anything when I opened the packet, 2nd it tasted as dull as dishwater NO TASTE what so ever even with 4 heaped teaspoons in the infuser tea pot. We were so looking forward to a wonderful cup of tea and am totally unhappy about the taste. It is not a cheap tea so I am bitterly disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but not special 7 Oct 2013

I have been trying to get hold of different Earl Greys (and variations like Lady Grey) recently to compare them and find a favourite (the whole family drinks Earl Grey). I had hoped this might pack an extra pecadillo of flavour - especially due to its award-winning status - over and above Twinings or Tesco Finest (the usual supermarket choice available to us) but sadly, although acceptable, it is pretty average really with no distinctive flavour notes. I might still try others in the Suki range, though.
