this tiny book was inspiring. the thought of following a random stranger as a means of understanding/documenting that stranger is obscene, but Calle seems to understand the ever growing public infuatuation with the private human sphere.

I read this book in 1988 and through circumstances it was taken away from me.....I never forgot this gem. Remembering it and taking on numerous searches throughout the years I was quite excited to finally have found it again, but alas at these prices I can not afford to hold it again.....perhaps sometime in the future it will come back my way. If possible this is one for your library if you love a good read with wonderful imagination, takes you on a dreamy intellectual walk around Venice.
