This book is a wonderful example of sugar flowercraft. Alan Dunn not only shows how to produce some wonderful examples of flowers and foliage but the range of material will give inspiration for other spin offs and combinations. I have found his ideas particularly useful for wedding cakes and christening cakes. I am basically a self taught sugar crafter and have found his book to be well structured allowing me to follow the instructions without tuor assistance. The pictures are stunning worthy of the coffee table not just the book case.

I purchased this book after seeing "Alan Dunns best of floral sugarcraft" (now out of print) which is two books put together - this purchase and "Floral wedding cakes and sprays" I was so impressed by the content of "Alan Dunns best of floral sugarcraft" that i decided to buy the two separate books.

I am learning that with the Alan Dunn you need to choose your purchases carefully because the publishers are not bothered about content and much of the authors work can be found in other books. It is this crafter's opinion that this cheats us out of our hard earned cash. I purchase these books to build a collection of different flowers to make and am not bothered about seeing old work re-regurgitated just to take money out of my pocket.
