What a disgrace 19 Mar 2011
By Adman50
Format:DVD
Having shelved out for this film I now realise that this is a actually a WIND UP based on the following reasons:

- The acting is actually hilarious...I am genuinely more intimidated by the ASBO kids on the local estate "tough men" in this film
- The script is poorly written I mean really come on now
- If its a rerealease from 97 at least try and add some production value and restore the quality...playing on a 42" HD screen shows how POOR the quality is...almost unwatchable

In summary its a FARCE.

This is a no brainer gangster film about 1 mob wanting to take over another mob. Add a hitman to the ensemble and you've got one of the most violent and bloody gangster films you'll ever see.
I love this film which is in my all time top 10. Not for the acting which isn't that great nor the dialogue which sucks a bit. (It's certainly not Goodfellas). It's for the bloodletting, crazy shoot-outs and mayhem.
This is a British made film from 1997 directed by Darren Ward. (It should not be confused with a film by the same title directed by Craig R. Bailey).
It was released by Subrosa studios in 2003 and 2006. My copy is the 2006 red cover release which states on the extras that there is a commentary but there isn't one. Maybe it's on the first release but i don't know and doubt it.
Darren ward has just made another film called A Day Of Violence 2010.
Extras are deleted scenes, outtakes and stills. USA Release region 1.

This is a complete load of rubbish. Badly acted, stupid, plotless and boring. Darren Ward should give up and do something else with his life
