Clocky gives you one chance to get up. But if you snooze, Clocky will jump off your nightstand and wheel around your room looking for a place to hide, beeping all the while. You'll have to get out of bed to silence his alarm. Clocky is kind of like a misbehaving pet, only he will get up at the right time.

When the alarm goes off, Clocky will roll off your nightstand / bedside table (up to 3 foot drop) and scoot around the floor looking for somewhere to hide until you get out of bed and turn him off. Clocky emits 'bleeps' and 'chirrups' until you track him down. There's a backlight for the clock - so you can view the time at night - and a snooze button that can be set from 0-9 minutes.

Clocky looks great, is extremely loud ( even a brass band wouldn't wake me up in the morning) and thanks to the novel 'runaway' feature, forces you out of bed to chase after it and turn it off.
There are a few issues with it though. Firstly the battery life is extremely short (maybe around two weeks) even with the highest spec batteries you can buy, and as it takes 4 AAA at a time, this is quite costly. Plus the batteries can't be changed quickly - it involves the use of a small screwdriver. Then once they're changed, you have to go through the rigmarole of re-setting the times/your alarm etc.
Also, the time setting is really easy to change by accident (when you're fumbling around half asleep in the morning) and on several occasions the time has been wrong and i haven't realised, resulting in my alarm going off late.
On the whole it is a nice alarm clock, if you're not fussed about the flaws.

Been having problems with my iPhone not waking me up in the mornings and decided I needed a second alarm clock. I did some research and was surprised by the variety of innovative products available. The one that stood out was Clocky and I placed an order for the almond (white) model.
The first thing that struck me when I met Clock was just how darn cute he looks.
Getting up and running, the controls are very basic and I didn't like the way you have to keep entering set modes, but it's ok if you're fast. Overall though, quick and easy.
Of course, the USP of this product is that it runs away when the alarm goes off, although this feature can be disabled... Don't! He can run away once the snooze time has expired or straight away. Make sure you put him to sleep somewhere he can move about a little. When the alarm goes he starts running around making panicked R2D2 like sounds and you have to catch him to calm him down. It almost makes waking up fun!
So far I haven't had any problems. He's pretty vocal, I can't imagine many people sleeping through. Would recommend to anyone.

the battery life will last 1/2 weeks even with the 'run away' function off and this is with 4 top of the line aaa batteries. my advice do not buy! their are cheaper better alarm clocks that will work alot better

disappointted
Didn't perform what it supposed to be ie. run when the alarm is activated. Sent it back before New year and yet to receive a replacement.
