Book Description

Successful retirement planning is not only about the size of your 401(k) or your retirement nest egg... Not enough attention is given to the practical, commonsense, aspects of retirement that are just as important, if not more so, than money.

The author has been retired since 1994... He and his wife share with you in this e-book two lists that they made in 1989... One of his retirement goals, the other list of things that he never wanted to do again.

You don't have to reinvent the wheel either... If you take the time to follow the simple practical advice in this e-book you may save yourself from making a retirement mistake that can cost you tens of thousands of dollars or more.

By investing a few days in planning and prioritizing what you want to accomplish in retirement you can avoid making this expensive mistake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Successful Retirement Planning 12 Feb. 2012

I just love this little book.

Among the things I like best are:
1. It's short and to the point. There's no padding or filler.
2. It brings up dozens of very pertinent and relevant questions many of which, if overlooked could ruin a good retirement.
3. It's a fast easy read and provides a nice blueprint for making sure all your retirement bases are covered.

Very practical and useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical advice, thought-provoking approach 16 Feb. 2012

This book contains the kind of information that I needed but could not find when I was approaching retirement. Financial planning is important but there are numerous books on that subject. This book provides a well-organized framework for thinking about several important questions not related to financial planning, including, but not limited to, the following: What do I want to do in retirement? Where do I want to do it? Who do I want to be close to (or far away from)? Will I have the time to do what I want to do? Don't enter retirement without considering the ideas in this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful Retirement Suggestions 14 Feb. 2012

This succinct book is well organized and may well save a marrage, or at least some unwanted surprises. It articulates exactly what each individual should consider while excluding the usual and overplayed financial aspects of retirement.
