Geoff Harvey (or his publishers) obviously think that giving a book a title is all they need to do to relate it to the new phenomenon of betting exchanges.
He gives a rudimentary explanation of how exchanges work & then tells you all about techniques that relate almost exclusively to traditional fixed odds betting.
As a professional gambler who makes a living from betting on the exchanges I would suggest that Harvey hasn't got a clue about betting exchanges & the skills required to operate effectively there.
He is a stats bod looking for an edge within bookies margins. He doesn't seem to have grasped even the fundamentals of trading bets in running, probably because this is not his forte.
I imagine this book came about as follows:
Publisher 1: New thing these betting exchanges, there may be a book in that.
Publisher 2: Who have we had to write books on betting in the past?
Publisher 1: We've got that train-spotter Harvey
Publisher 2: He'll do. Give him £5k & tell him to write one quick!
My recommendation: Don't bother - wait for a relevant book to come out.
