This is a workbook rather than a revision guide, so it is basically a book full of questions with an answer booklet included. There are no explanations of how to work out the questions (presumably that's in the revision guide which is a separate purchase).
The book is broken down into main and then sub-sections, with a natural progression onto more difficult questions.
We've found this to be extremely useful, especially as the questions are worded SAT style.

Although the sats do not now apply, I got this book to help make certain that my son covered the course work required at this stage. Excellent.

I brought this Workbook in July this year becuase although year 9 SATs don't apply i thought it would be at my level i would be able to use it. The workbook is good but i feel it dosen't contain enough GCSE material and some of the workbook is easy. I would reccomend you this book if your in Year 7 or 8, but if your in year 9 i would go for a GCSE book next time.
