Generally flawed 22 Nov 2010
Quite a few questions in this book, but many of the answers are flawed (particularly in VR). Talking to people around, the consensus is also that the questions are far too easy for the level of the exam and so give false reassurance. AR and VR are far harder at the exam that the questions in this book and as such it won't prepare you for much.

The layout is also dreadful and you have to keep turning pages because the graphs or the texts are not facing the questions always, making it very akward to use without getting frustrated.

Average/ Poor 26 Feb 2011
I bought this book after finishing the "600 UKCAT practice Questions" by ISC medical and it just doesn't compare.

Some of the abstract reasoning questions are a bit far fetched and the connections seem to have just been randomly made up are dont really compare the actual test.

If this was the only book i had bought i dont think i would have done anywhere near as well as i did. It is just about okay as a second book because you have completed your first.

I would reccomend the one below instead:

Get into Medical School - 600 UKCAT Practice Questions. Includes Full Mock Exam, comprehensive tips, techniques and explanations.

I had bought this book as a second resource for UKCAT practice and, having then lent all my resources to a friend once I had taken my UKCAT, we both agree that this one is not good. The abtract reasoning relationships have little relevance to what one might find at the exam, where the relationship shapes in set A is similar in nature to that in set B but in a mirror fashion. Also, a lot of the verbal reasoning answers are presented as False when they should be in fact Can't Tell.
