I bought this book as an aid to passing the Royal Navy entrance test which I sat today. I achieved a high mark but that was down to using other sources as well - a basic knowledge of algebra and shape areas is a must, and you won't go far wrong by buying GCSE study guides for Technology and Physics for the Mechanical Comprehension section.
The questions are basic to medium difficulty at best but it's as good a place to start as long as you don't rely on the content solely.

Helped me pass the AST's for every trade. Thoroughly recommended. Only drawback is there is only one set of questions for every branch, and an analysis section.

Would recommend to those looking to enter into the Armed Forces. It provides a good foundation of what to expect in the tests but, like other reviewers, would recommend you also revise other areas including basic maths and current affairs.

Poor Book, Not very comprehensive
I bought this book along with a few others from Amazon to help my son prepare for Armed Forces Selection. It was very disappointing and not what we expected. Read more

limited usefulness
Only one full practise test for each of the Armed Forces. This book didnt give my son the amount of practise he was looking for.
