Far better than their other book. These projects are more wearable and would appeal to a larger age group. Well presented with easy to follow instructions.

Their inexpensive idea for a making a dressform is ingenious; I'll be drafting in my friends to help with mine soon.

If you are torn between the two 'Subversive' books and can only buy one; choose this one!

i wouldn't be caught dead wearing anything from this book. it has some good ideas i suppose, but it is not very inspiring and all the models look ridiculous in what they are wearing. i bought this over a year ago and have never made anything from it. might be good for the seriously thrifty, but not those interested in making their own fashionable clothes.

Disappointing 7 May 2009
Format:Paperback
The DIY dress form was the only highlight in an otherwise disappointing book. The chances of having - or finding- an exactly suitable garment to begin the project would be unlikely. It would be easier to start from scratch. I dumped it in the nearest charity shop!
