Subtext is a well written, easy to read book, from an author whose down to earth humour shines through. This was a book I struggled to put down as I found myself caught up in her emotional turmoil as she came to terms with her own desires, coupled with it being a really sexy tale. I found myself speculating about my own limits & desires; and like all good books, it left me imagining what might happen to the characters after the final chapter ends. Highly recommended, and I fully expect my copy to become well worn & dog eared from re-reading.

I loved this book - far too often books in this genre are humourless and overly-serious; unlike those, Kate manages to tell a tale of her submission that is not only incredibly erotic but also warm and funny too. You really bond with her as she goes on her journey of submission, almost making you feel like you're living it with her. The end result is a beautifully written book which depicts the experience of coming to terms with your sexual fantasies in a way that is both incredibly real but also powerfully emotional.
I recommend this book for anyone who has ever looked at submission in an erotic way - whether they're in the lifestyle or not. Fabulous.

This book is written with a lot of warmth, humour and wit which all makes it very readable and easy to empathise with the lead character, Kate. As a female reader, I found it very female friendly but think it would appeal very much to the male reader also. Highly recommended!
