Substance Abuse; Info for School Counselors - Review 18 Jan 2007
By H. Wilson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book clearly explains the relationship an addict has with their drug of choice, so that someone who may never have used/abused can understand the seemingly irrational behavior of the addict. But, the author does not stop there. Harrison goes on to explain various reasons why the addict's family may knowingly or unknowingly support the addict's habit, thus keeping the addict from recovery.

easy read and very informative. 17 Aug 2011
By Individual, Mom, Student & Professional - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This textbook was easy to read and informative. It is just a generalist book for those who will come accross substance abuse so it also has recommendations for further reading and links for sites to gather specific information per chapter.

Substance Abuse: Information for School Counselors, Social Workers, Therapists, and Counselors (4th Edition) 13 Jun 2011
By Regina Patterson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The book that I received arrived much quicker that what I expected. The shipper did a fantastic job!! It was in wonderful shape. Thank you so much!!

The information presented in the book was good. I thought the book would have contained a great deal of jargon, but I was glad to see that it did not. Great book for social workers!
