It's About Time!!! Perfect! 17 Mar 2010
By Duchess - Published on Amazon.com
I've tried every self-tanner on the market, I can't imagine how much money I've spent on them. I'm the type of person who forbids the beds and doesn't like to lay out all the time to maintain. Out of all the self tanners, Loreal makes the best...still, the odor makes me sick no matter what the brand. My fiance has a sensitive nose too so even the lightest of odors wrinkles his nose. You can't escape it: it's on you, your bed sheets, your clothes. Blech! Then there's the fading, the streaking, the orange results! It's *awful* having to suffer one way or another just for a little color!

They finally came up with my dream product. It's light and easy breezy to apply, I daresay impossible to streak. The color is natural and bronzy, and best of all it's INSTANT and there's no odor at all. It smells just like any sweet, everyday lotion. It doesn't come off on clothes cuz it's dries FAST. All you need to do to get it off is soap and water and there's no residue afterward. AMAZING. Plus it's super affordable. THANK YOU LOREAL!!!

Good... with a little doctoring... 2 July 2010
By Jennifer M. Jobst - Published on Amazon.com
I'm a natural redhead with typical pale, freckled skin. I've been searching for some kind of product that can gently bronze my legs without turning them too many shades darker than my natural skin tone so that I don't look unnatural. I've tried every self tanner (both gradual and immediate ones) but they ALL smell disgusting and there must be some ingredient in them that makes my legs incredibly itchy for days after using them. So this year I decided to stop suffering with itchy legs and try to find a one day bronzer that isn't overly perfumed or shiny and one that doesn't take forever to apply.

My favorite one (by Tarte) delivers excellent color, no odor, and not too much shine, but is a huge pain to apply because it's in a canister that's supposed to be like deoderant, but the entire stick regularly falls out onto the floor. This even happened with the tester at Sephora, so it's not just one defective one. So, since the application is a pain and it's expensive, I save it for special days or evenings. Then I tried the Bath and Body Works deoderant style one day bronzer. The application on that one is a breeze. The stick stays in the canister, you don't have to use your hands, and the smell is very light; You can still wear your favorite perfumes/smelly lotions w/o interference. The drawback with that one is that even with the darker color of the two options, the color it delivers is very light. I don't think I'll replenish my supply on that one unless they come out with a darker version. Finally, I picked up the Sublime Bronze One Day on a whim at CVS. I used it on day one and felt that the application was easy enough. It's a gel-- you use it like lotion. You will have to wash your hands well after each leg application or your hands will be orange. It's strange because it does wash off the rest of the body easily, but for some reason, scrubbing of the hands is necessary. If you can't scrub it all the way off with regular soap, squirt a little whitening toothpaste in your hands and scrub with that. It will take care of any residual staining. Anyway-- indoors I felt that the color looked pretty natural, but maybe a shade or two dark for me. Later, I went grocery shopping and when I stepped out into natural light, my legs seemed to have a strange reddish brown tone. Almost as though I had been burned mixed with bronze. Strange. But since it was only $10 and it washes off whenever you want to, I decided to try it the next day but that time I mixed it 50/50 with my scented body lotion to lighten it up a bit. It worked well and mixing it with my regular body lotion didn't make it too streaky or gooey. I also use one of my son's old cloth diapers and gently press it all over my legs to "dry" them and remove any excess. This also seems to eliminate any streakiness and evens it all out. This will work for me, for now, until something better comes along. I'm almost halfway through the bottle now and will replace it before I run out, which I suppose makes it a good buy.

LOVE IT!!! 1 April 2011
By kay - Published on Amazon.com
I couldn't be without this stuff. My skin is a pasty bluish-white. Today (April 1st) is over 90 degrees so everyone (including me) is in their shorts. I don't have the time or patience for traditional self tanners anymore. I'm also sick of the orange stains on my sheets and clothes and the giraffe spots as it starts to fade. Not to mention the days of prep. Normally it takes a couple of days to get enough color to make a difference. I have to layer lighter shaded self tanners because they streak.

This morning I wanted tan legs and in 5 minutes I had them. And I knew immediately what they would look like. I was a little hesitant to use this, afraid my clothes would stain like before but not a problem. This stuff dries quickly and does not come off. My shorts are khaki or white. Nothing ever transfers. It says it comes off in a day but for me it lasts as long as a self tanner. It lasts a few days and then it's gone completely. In fact, the only way I can get it off the palms of my hands is with a paste of Philosophy's Purity Made Simple cleanser mixed with Comet kitchen/bathroom cleaner. It's not going anywhere. Love it!!!
