Great job,
By
This review is from: Subediting and Production for Journalists: Print, Digital & Social (Media Skills) (Paperback)
I went for a job subbing, I don't have a degree in journalism and I hadn't worked directly on a magazine. I got the job! And I think it was in part due to the no-fuss, comprehensive information in this book. It tells you everything you need to know, and reassured me that I do have the skills to get the job done. It also improved my knowledge in areas I don't know so much about, like libel law and the magazine production cycle. If you think you might want to be a sub, other books will list for you what a sub does; this one tells you what you will be doing in great detail. It was just what I needed and is very easy to read.
