Collection of Impreza magazine articles for the enthusiast, 22 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Subaru Impreza Turbo Limited Edition Extra 1994-2001 (Brooklands Road Test Limited Edition Extra) (Paperback)
Basically the book is a collection of 32 articles from the motoring press from around the world covering the Subaru Impreza Turbo. It is nothing more than a reprint of those articles into a soft covered A4 book.
The first test dates back to 1993 with the newest being from February 2001 of the STi7 from Autocar. Models covered include the RB5, P1, 22B, various Prodrive upgraded cars, standard turbos (from various different World wide perspective), STi7 and STi4 Type R.
It's a shame that it is only black and white, and that there are no articles from EVO as this would then have made the book the definitive collection of articles (from the UK perspective) anywhere. True if your magazine collection is quite extensive, as mine is, you will have a fair number of these but to have them all in one book is a great bonus.
Whether its worth the cover price for what amounts to basically a published set of photocopies is down to whether you are sad like me and like reading old articles. The Australian, US, NZ and SA viewpoint of the cars plus the historical reading of the period I (and the rest of the world) was not aware of the Scooby is worth the price of the book IMHO.

Puts the Impreza Turbo in perspective...., 28 Dec 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Subaru Impreza Turbo Limited Edition Extra 1994-2001 (Brooklands Road Test Limited Edition Extra) (Paperback)
This is basically a collection of magazine reviews featuring the Impreza Turbo. For anyone considering purchase of an Impreza, this book will convince you.
It put's the Scooby in perspective against various other performance 'icons', and generally the Scooby comes out on top! A few reviews of the new WRX, including the STi version, are included towards the end.
Because of the age of some of the reviews, some of the technical information is out of date, but may still be relevent if you are considering purchase of an older model.
