4.0 out of 5 stars Got high frequency?, 30 Jan 2012
By clusterflux - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: ORTOFON ARKIV NEEDLE (Electronics)
I guess the point to the "Archive" stylus was to give true hi-fi sound, in order to record vinyl accurately. The only problem I have is that while it does produce higher-end frequencies, it also has a tendency to make a record that is less than NM sound pretty bad. With the extra highs comes extra noise. Maybe it's best suited for computer recording, using noise-removing software. (?) Sounds great on near mint records, though!
