When I get time there are a lot of patterns in this book that I want to make. There is a wide range, everything from "Mr & Mrs. Frosty" toys to scarves, hats, socks, household stuff, accessories and, of course, baby patterns.

Some of the yarns mentioned I haven't heard of but no doubt some internet searching will track them down.

A PLUS point for this book is that it includes a detailed "how to" section - good not only for complete beginners but also for those who are fairly experienced but can't quite remember how to do a certain step in the proceedings.

Well worth the money!

No needle knitting is becoming increasingly popular. Here is a useful book showing more than 30 projects that you can make with a hand loom. Scarves, hats, socks, bags and more accessories to make for all the family. Each project has easy to follow instructions with clear photographs. In addition, there's excellent instructions with line drawings showing you how to use a loom. Although the models are young, I would think that this book is more suitable for the 50-70 age range as the projects are not quite contemporary. This review first appeared on Karen Platt's book review website.

This is a great follow-up to A Beginner's Guide to Knitting on a Loom : With Over 30 Fun Projects. A few of the 30 projects are a little dated, like the choker and the wrist bracelets, but the hats and scarves are really nice. It includes 5 kinds of scarves, mittens, a shawl and a wrap, a shrug, 3 adult hats and 3 children's hats, socks, slippers, some small size blankets, various kinds of bags, both felted and non-felted, a mobile phone cosy, potholders (which are basic, but offer good practice on patterns), a table runner (which, again, it basically a scarf with some beads at the ends, but useful from a pattern standpoint, pillows, headband, choker, braclets and an awfully 80's necklace. I won't use every pattern, but I am learning a lot from the stitches which I will incorporate into my own projects when I get a bit better at loom knitting. Overall, very happy with this purchase for the price.

I am so glad I purchased this book. At first I wasn't sure as the projects are accessories. However, it is more than just projects there are fantastic new stitch patterns that can easily adapted for other items. A great book for hand loomers.
