Having experienced difficulties with an earlier version of Stuffit I had been running for a while, I bought Deluxe 2009 hoping it would solve all the problems. It didn't. Certain functions simply resulted in error messages - I won't go into detail. I contacted support who informed me that the problems I was experiencing were probably due to other software I was running which was interfering with their product. I was directed to instructions on how to find the culprit by a process of elimination - uninstal each item of software in turn, check out Stuffit and when the guilty party was found, ditch it. I need all the software installed on my PC - needless to say, it was Stuffit that was binned. Stuffit programmers should make sure that their product works alongside anything that's thrown at it - other software generally seems to!
